Matthew 16:24-25

I was looking at this verse in the Bible, and thinking about what it meant to deny oneself, take up one's cross, and follow G-d. I concluded that we are to walk in discipline, sacrifice, and obedience to G-d.
The verse is primarily in New American Standard translation, but I changed some of the words and replaced them with words from the Complete Jewish Bible.
Yeshua = Jesus
talmidim = disciples
execution stake = also translated as cross or tree
