Unicorn 1 by TerrifyingLint Unicorn 1 by TerrifyingLint
Here is the colored version of Unicorn 1 (see my scraps gallery for the line art). I am offering this picture under a Creative Commons Liscence . Click on the CC logo for details on usage and restrictions.
This picture was sketched on paper, then scanned in and digitally inked and colored with airbrush, pen, and blender tools.

well this piece is as complete as its going to get, i think

this is one of the pieces' where your draftsmanship shines because the choices your making are ovious and work well. Choices like lineweight and color - both of which you've got a firm grasp on

What do you like about my draftsmanship that makes you say it is remarkable? Any ideas on how I can improve it?

This looks great, I really enjoy the pattern on the legs. I'd say it looks kind of swamp-ish actually. The only complaint I have is that the hoof on the front left leg looks a little off. But hey, I don't draw hooves or study them, so it's more probable that I'm wrong. Just a first impression. :)

Either way, this looks amazing in general. The swaying of the hair is nicely done as well.

Yea, the splotchy pattern on his back does remind one of slime and fungi. Wow, I should do a glistening gooey slime unicorn. That would be...interesting. :)
